ABOUT THE NUMBERS:
SAMBA OPENING
Samba is a lively, sensual and rhythmical Brazilian dance. Be enticed by the continuous hip movement and their artistry of steps! Be mesmerized by the beautifully designed costumes with plenty of glitter and feathers, namely bikinis, headdresses and back pieces, which are a real work of art and depict the happy nature of this dance. Samba follows the beat of the drums and goes from average pace to VERY VERY fast. This Samba one sees in the Brazilian Carnival parades.
CAPOEIRA MARTIAL ARTS
A martial art that combines dance and music – be fascinated by its leg sweeps and its quick, powerful, complex moves. Capoeira was created by descendants of African slaves and has Brazilian native influences. A presentation normally includes theatrical and acrobatics elements with little martiality, as this is still subtle and disguised. Trickery is ever present and expert capoeiristas never take their eyes off their opponents!
LAMBADA – WITH LIFTS & TRICKS
Lambada, also known as the “forbidden dance of love from Brazil” which originated in Pará, Brazil. Lambada is a partner dance famous for it’s very fast side to side moves and pronounced movement of the hips. La Fiesta combines this dance style with spectacular spins and breathtaking throws and lifts.
LIVE BRAZILIAN DRUMBS & SAMBA DANCERS
Batucada (Live Brazilian Drumming) has African roots and is performed by a group of professional drummers with a repetitive and fast pace. Experience the sensational rhythm, culture, fun and excitement of the Brazilian Carnival. A captivating show that will appeal to all!
